The early days of Silent Discos or Rave Parties, before 2005, there would be only one channel available to listen to music through.
Over-time technology moved along to where there were two, and later the 3rd channel that three separate DJs could broadcast over at the same time.
A silent Disco or Rave is an event where people dance to music listening on wireless headphones, rather than using a speaker system. The music is broadcast via radio transmitter with the signal being picked up by the wireless headphone receiver worn by the participants.
Those without the headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing to nothing.
Silent Discos, Raves are popular at Company Parties, Music Festivals, School Events, Nightclubs, as it is allowed to continue dancing after noise curfews.
It works best in conjunction with a minimum of 2 DJs, but to be more effective 3 DJs are recommended. With up to 3 DJ playing simultaneously, your guests can simply flick between the soundtrack that suits them at the moment.
